📚 Our Educational Approach – Polish Immersion Preschool in Lyon
At the Polish Immersion Preschool in Lyon, we focus on an immersive and bilingual teaching approach, centered on early language development, as well as the intellectual and cultural growth of children.
🗣️ Early Polish Language Immersion
French–Polish bilingualism begins at a very young age. Children discover Polish naturally, like their mother tongue, through play, motor and language activities, and daily interactions with our teaching team.
This approach encourages spontaneous, playful, and effective learning while stimulating curiosity, creativity, and cultural awareness.
🎲 Playful and Varied Learning
Our pedagogy is based on playful activities tailored to each child: games, songs, and dances to develop language and motor skills; artistic and hands-on activities to stimulate creativity; and reading Polish stories and tales to enrich vocabulary.
🌍 Global Development and Bilingualism
Through linguistic immersion, children develop advanced metalinguistic skills, improve communication abilities, and enhance cognitive flexibility. Bilingualism also fosters cultural curiosity and openness to the world.
👩🏫 Native and Caring Educators
Our teaching team is composed of native Polish-speaking educators, attentive to each child’s needs and respectful of their individual pace. They ensure linguistic and cultural consistency across all activities.
🇵🇱 Polish Language and Culture
Every activity is also a cultural discovery: traditions, tales, expressions, and Polish celebrations are integrated daily to enrich learning and create a strong connection to Polish heritage.
✨ Benefits for the Child
natural acquisition of Polish and a second language, development of cognitive and social skills, exposure to Polish and international culture, strengthening of self-confidence and enjoyment of learning
🧩 Learning Polish: What Are the Benefits?
French–Polish bilingualism from an early age allows children to develop advanced linguistic and metalinguistic skills, both in their mother tongue and in a second language, compared to monolingual children in traditional education.
Raising a child in two languages requires sustained effort over several years. Bilingualism does not happen automatically, whether the second language is: that of one parent, the family language in a foreign country, or simply a language-learning project in a monolingual family.
Parents often ask important questions: What is the best way to raise a child bilingually? What are the effects of bilingualism on schooling and intellectual development? How can we support natural and effective learning of Polish?

👩👧 Raising a Child Bilingually – A Polish Mother’s Testimony
Children raised in a bilingual environment have an exceptional opportunity: they acquire a second or even third language almost effortlessly, often speaking it without an accent when learning begins in early childhood. Learning happens naturally: simply through exposure to another language, the child absorbs its main structures, vocabulary, and expressions.
