📚 Thematic Program – Polish Preschool of Lyon
At the Polish Preschool of Lyon (EMPL), educational activities are organized around thematic programs that serve as a guiding thread for each session with the children.
These themes help structure all activities offered: arts and crafts, educational games, physical activities, songs, poems, and cultural discoveries.
Through this approach, children explore the Polish language and culture in a fun, natural, and progressive way, while developing their curiosity, creativity, and love of learning.
👶 Age-Appropriate Pedagogy
The thematic blocks are common across all age groups. However, their implementation is adapted according to the children’s age and developmental level. Younger children explore themes through simple and sensory activities, while older children participate in more advanced activities that foster oral expression in Polish, vocabulary comprehension, and creativity and imagination.
🔄 A Flexible and Evolving Program
The thematic program serves as the pedagogical foundation for the entire year. However, it can evolve and be adapted according to the seasons, the school calendar, religious and cultural celebrations, and important events in Poland and France. This flexibility ensures activities are always connected to the children’s environment and real-life experiences.
🗣️ Polish Language Learning at the Heart of Each Session
During every session, special emphasis is placed on developing Polish language skills, including listening comprehension, oral expression, and the acquisition of new words and expressions.
These skills are the main objective of our Saturday sessions at the Polish preschool, where children learn Polish naturally through play, music, and interaction with teachers.
