🗓️ Saturday Morning Schedule
The organization of daily activities is fundamental at the Polish Preschool of Lyon. Our schedule is carefully designed to consider several key factors that support the growth, well-being, and development of each child.
📚 Learning Areas
Each area of learning contributes to the child’s overall development: language, motor skills, creativity, social skills, logic, and general knowledge. Activities are designed to foster curiosity, independence, and a love of learning from an early age.
🎨 Activities
The activity program ensures variety and progressive learning. Different types of activities are spread throughout the morning: exploratory activities, inquiry-based activities, structured activities, consolidation activities, and practice & reinforcement activities.
⏱ Activity Duration
The length of each session is adapted to the child’s age and attention span: PS (Petite Section / 2.5–3 years old): 15 minutes per session, MS (Moyenne Section / 4 years old): 20 minutes per session, GS (Grande Section / 5–6 years old): 30 minutes per session.Each learning moment is designed to be effective and stimulating, while respecting the natural rhythm of each child.

The sequence of activities takes into account: Forms of work: collective, group, or individual, Activity types: oral, written, hands-on manipulation, Duration and locations: classrooms, outdoor areas, workshops, Attention level: focused or lighter depending on the moment. This organization ensures a balance between concentration and relaxation, promoting natural and harmonious learning.

The schedule is designed to address age-specific and developmental needs: Rest and recovery times, Socialization and free play, Physical and motor activities, Moments for expression and creativity. In this way, the Polish Preschool of Lyon provides a safe and structured environment, conducive to learning Polish, developing skills, and supporting personal growth.

The proposed timetable provides a typical framework that the teacher can adapt according to local constraints. While respecting hygiene and safety rules, the schedule is designed to meet the specific needs of young children.
Motor, sensory, and play-based activities are included to satisfy the natural need of children to explore with their body and senses, promoting their well-being, Polish language learning, and overall development.
